The Lessons we learn from a toddler

Since Emma arrived last May she has been teaching us lessons. Early lessons included:
-parents can survive on less sleep than they think...or want
-Emma's wake up time is the new alarm clock
-the dogs are no longer the special babies in the house
-extra money is now spent on Emma
I am sure I could think of more but I will go on with the current lessons we are learning in our day to day lives.

1. Emma teaches us to do office work. She is a pro at carry around an accordion file and stealing Honey's wallet and prancing around the office.

Emma is teaching us to write checks...to her, of course!
Emma thinks the only time to watch TV is between 12 noon and 1pm. This is when her cartoons are on. If the TV is on in her playroom she likes to hit the red button to turn it off.
Emma wants to teach you how to get out of an overturned car.

The most important lesson Emma has taught us over the last year is to LAUGH. Laughing is the best medicine and is fitting for any situation.

Year in Review Picture-2 month Picture

This is one of my favorite pictures. She was really learning to give us some good smiles and she was enjoying her "tummy time". If you are a new mom or soon to be mom, think about investing in a Floor Nanny. Emma loved spending time in her floor nanny and would even sleep in it at the office (before she learned to crawl out of it). I really think it helped her learn how to sit up quickly. If she fell over, she just fell on the soft sides.
