My guard dog

Ok, this is my last post and I am all caught up! I think I have been blogging for about two hours. Of course I have been watching the season premieres of Criminal Minds and CSI NY while blogging. Oh, and tomorrow night is the new Office! I can't wait!!!
While I was cooking dinner tonight I walked into the living room and this is what I found. It was almost like Cassidy was guarding Emma. Just thought it was cute.

Emma's New Toy

Honey and Granddaddy got Emma a new toy. This is her playing in her new exersaucer. She loves playing in it and now we don't have to bring her Combi car back and forth from the house. This is her fun new toy for the office!

Tired After the Weekend

I snapped these cute pictures of our little pumpkin after her first fun filled weekend with the girls. She can look forward to many of these weekend to come!

The Listserve Visits

I love my group of friends that I found at Ole Miss through Pi Phi. We are all so close and try to keep up with each other daily through our listserve. Some of the girls came to visit Emma this past weekend. We had so much fun!

Hanging at Buffalo Wild Wings...we were hoping to watch the Ole Miss game but no luck.

We had a surprise baby shower for Jen on Saturday at Muddy's Bake Shop. Baby Lilly Ann is due in December and got lots of great gifts.

Nelly gave Jen some burp rags from Emma's Closet. Sorry I had to advertise my business

Catching Up

So Bradley was out of town last week and I had no time to blog. Plus I had some of my Ole Miss friends come to visit me over the weekend so I was busy getting ready for our visitors. So here we go in our week in review...

BABY LEGS
I got Emma some Baby Legs and I love them on her! It got just a bit cold last week so I decided to try them on her. They are like leg warmers for babies except they can be used for leggings and also when she starts crawling they will really protect her knees!

4 month pics
Emma was 4 months old on Monday the 15th. I took her to the doctor on Tuesday for her 4 month check up and shots. She weighed in at 14 lbs 6 oz and was 25 inches, both in the 75% percentile. She showed her doctor her rolling over ability and he said she should be working on sitting up this month. He also gave us the go ahead to start trying solid (if that is what you want to call in) foods! We are working on rice ceral right now.

Our First REAL Photos

On Sunday we went and got Emma's first professional pictures made. I know lots of people get professional pictures done way earlier than this, but we just didn't. Not really any particular reason, but I think I have plenty of pictures to remember her by!
So, I was kinda concerned she was not going to be good because we kinda got her off her schedule when we got up super early to take Bradley to the airport. She was wonderful and we got so many great pictures. Mike Logan took the pictures for us. He also took our wedding pictures. He specializes in wedding photography, but as you can see, he does great with babies also. I have put the link to his website on the left hand side of the page! He probably took over 150 pictures and there are so many great ones to pick from! Below are just a few of the proofs.

4 month pictures

Happy 4 months to Emma. She is getting a big surprise this weekend in that some of my friends are coming to visit us for the weekend!

Sesame Street

Well this morning Bradley left to go to Portland. We had to take him to the airport around 7am and he won't be back until Friday. I snapped these pictures of Emma after we got home from the airport.
What is she so interested in?
Sesame Street!!

Emma's Box

We are always looking for new things for Emma to do at the office. This week Granddaddy built Emma a fun new toy-a box! Her box is filled with styrofoam and has a string so she can be pulled around the office. She really likes it. I can tell she is really going to like her wagon once she is old enough to ride in that.

Does anyone know someone at Lutron? Don't you think she is a wonderful advertisement.

My trip to St. Louis

Well last time I wrote I was in the airport headed to St. Louis. I had a really fun trip but was happy to get home. Here is what I brought back for Emma.
We made a trip to Pi Phi headquarters one night while in St. Louis and I picked this shirt up for her.

Little Red Corvette

MiMi and Granddaddy got Emma a Combi Car and it is great! We knew she was getting to the point where she needed some kind of exersaucer thing because she was constantly wanting to be held in the standing position. The car is great because right now it is a bouncer, then it will turn into a walker and last you can fold the seat in and she can push it around when she is learning to walk.

Emma has a visitor on one of her stops zooming around the living room. I know we are going to get to the point where Cassidy is scared on this car since it will soon be chasing her!

The first time in our corvette.

Catching up from the Weekend

Well I am in the Memphis airport right now waiting on my plane, so I figured this was a good time to catch up on the blog. Sometimes there is just no time at night, imagine that! Of course, it could have something to do with the 4 fantasy football drafts I have done in the last two weeks. Fantasy starts tonight---YEAH!

This past weekend we went back to the lake to celebrate Bradley's birthday. It was such an enjoyable long weekend. The Groomes were able to join us for their first trip to Paris. It was so nice to have Billy, Jeanna, Mitchell and Campbell there to celebrate with us.
Here is Emma with her Honey waiting on the boat to take us to Louie's for dinner on Friday night.
So the water has gotten a bit colder since July and Emma is no longer interested in swimming. Instead she prefers to nap on the boat.
Jeanna, Campbell and Emma. Campbell was really good and very gentle while playing with Emma. She loved laying down next to Emma and she even helped me give Emma a bath and put her to bed one night.
I thought this picture was soooo sweet. Campbell and Emma holding hands.
Emma's Labor Day Dress. This was suppose to be her 4th of July dress but it was way too big on the 4th of July. Still alittle big but we had to get her in it before it gets too cold!
