Updated Nursery Pictures

Bradley took these pictures this morning and wanted me to update the blog. Emma's room is really coming along. We got the mattress and rest of the bedding earlier this week.

My dad got us this chalkboard that can hang from the door. The sign actually says "Emma's Room" you just can't see in the picture!

This dresser is going to be the changing table.

Baby Shower

Last weekend I had my first baby shower in Memphis. It was hosted by Bradley's office. We are so blessed for Bradley to have such a wonderful job. He loves what he does, where he works and all the people at his office. They are such a fun group of people. The shower was wonderful. The food was catered by Swanky's-I love Mexican and we had wonderful petite fours from Younique Yummies-the link is to the left! We got so many fun and practical things for Emma. Thank you so much everyone.
Here are the petit fours and some chocolate cigars from the party. There were also pink and green M&Ms that had "It's a Girl" and "Emma Carolyn" printed on them.
Jeanna painted this beautiful canvas that is going to go in Emma's room. She is such a wonderful artist. Hopefully, she will have a website up soon for her painting business and I can put it over in my favorite links. Until then, if you are interested in contacting her about painting anything just let me know and I can give you her contact info.
Courtney and my mom got me the baby bag that I have been eyeing! I love it. It is made out of a slicker material than most of the Coach bags are made of so it will be really easy to clean. I also got lots of clothes, toys, and items for Emma's room. Hopefully, there will be some more pictures of the shower coming and I will post those when I get them. Schuyler also organized some great activities for the shower. Everyone made scrapbook pages, so now all I have to do is put the pictures on them and put them in the book-so easy! She also had everyone write down something fun they remember from their childhood that would be a good piece of advice. What a special keepsake for me.

Updated Nursery Pictures

Here are some updated nursery pictures. I got my chair in last week and I think it goes great in the room. My sister helped me pick out the color for the chair.

Bookcase and bullentin board. I haven't finished the bullentin board yet, but when it is done it will go over the bookcase.

My dad came over this past weekend and put the crib together. As you can tell-now we need a mattress. That will be coming soon!

Cute Stationary

When I got home yesterday I had a package that I had been waiting for. I recently ordered some new notecards since I have now run out of my wedding stationary. I ordered the cards from Little Bit Papers. One of my friend's sister, Amy, owns the company and everything is very affordable. She is great to work with and the turn around was super fast. If anyone is in need of cute stationary items check out her website

Here are the pink and green note cards I ordered!

Happy Birthday Cassidy

Cassidy's Birthday and Our Anniversary

Well we had a very eventful weekend and I will probably have multiple post from the weekend. I decided I would dedicate at least this one post to Cassidy because probably after the baby comes she won't get much attention. Sunday was Cassidy's 2nd birthday...Happy Birthday Cassidy!

Monday was mine and Bradley's 2nd Anniversary. He had spent the weekend in Vail on a work/fun trip, but he flew back into town on Monday afternoon. We celebrated by going out to eat at Majestic Grille downtown. It was great. Here is a short look back at our celebrations from the past and present.

Pictures from our honeymoon in Whistler, BC.

Our first Anniversary we spent in New Orleans at Mardi Gras. This was Bradley's first trip to Mardi Gras and he absolutely loved it! In the above picture we are sharing the top of our wedding cake that was saved with the Reynoirs after the parades on Sunday.

Like I said earlier, Bradley spent this past weekend in Vail. He didn't take any pictures but he did bring Emma home these presents. I explained to him that whenever my dad used to go on business trips he would always bring us something home-even if it was just a t-shirt. I told him that whenever he went on a trip he should always bring Emma something home.

Stay tuned for another post about the weekend. Bradley's office hosted a baby shower for me on Saturday so I am waiting for the pictures and I will post those and new nursery pictures.

Some of My Favorite Things

Happy Valentine's Day!
My wonderful husband.

Cute little Delilah-as a ladybug for Halloween
She wasn't really too happy about the costume!

Our crazy Cassidy-she always looks like she is smiling!

If you know me, you know that I LOVE shoes! I love these shoes that we have for Emma. My PaPa gave me the boots and now I can give them to Emma. The pink tennis shoes are actually Kangaroos (I don't know if they even make them anymore). Courtney and I both wore them when we were little-they don't have a single scuff mark on the bottom!
I have alot more things that I love but this post would become way too long! I promised a picture of the boots on the blog so I had to find a way to work them in.

Home Remodel

Ok, I got some request for pictures of the house so far...so here it goes

Here is what the kitchen looked like before we started the remodel. You can't tell but the countertops were very outdated!

I now have a great new countertop, a deeper sink, and a new kitchen color. Bradley and my dad spent a whole weekend sanding down the cabinets-it was a hugh job! Next up is repainting the cabinets, new cabinet hardward, new floors and a new stove. Still alot to do.
The nursery was our guest room. Here is what the nursery currently looks like.

We did the stripe on the wall with a chalk line-that was fun. We are going to pick up the chair today and hopefully put the crib together in the next week.

I have also been getting in touch with my artistic side again. In college whenever I got stressed about exams instead of studying I would paint and draw. Well now I have decided that instead of buying alot of expensive things I should be able to make them. We will see how long this last. Here are my two latest projects. The canvas is for above Emma's crib and the burp rags that are hanging on the bassinet I made out of cloth diapers and fabric and ribbons.

Baby Pool

OK, I know it has been almost a month since my last post and I promise I will get better by the time Emma comes. I am going to try to do better before then! In fact, we have alot going on right now in the way of home projects (kitchen and baby room) they are just not finished and I just can't bring myself to take pictures of the half done projects! Have I mentioned that I have the most wonderful husband who puts up with me and my great idea of redoing the kitchen and working on a baby's room all at once. To say the least, our house is pretty torn up. Our kitchen is going to be wonderful and Bradley is really doing most of it himself with some help from some family members. Be on the lookout for nursery pictures towards the end of the month-that is when I get my chair and will hopefully have the crib put together.

Now, for the baby pool! I saw this on someone else's blog and thought it was a great idea. Leave your guess for the birthday of Emma in the comments section. I will post a calendar of taken dates as soon as I get about 10 guesses. Pick a date and time-i.e.-5/1/08 at 11am. You don't have to get down to the minute. The closest person without going over is going to win a prize. Not a hugh prize but it will be a good prize that you will be able to use! Probably a gift certificate to a local restaurant-just can't say which one yet b/c it depends on who wins and where they live. My husband is able to guess but will not win a prize b/c he will have insider knowledge-his prize is getting to help take care of Emma when she is here! Only one guess per person. Let the games begin!
