The Past Week

This past week was my first week back to work.  I enjoyed getting back into my schedule but I have to admit the week wasn't easy.  That is probably because Bradley left on Monday morning and was gone until Thursday.  Emma was back in school and I have to say it is hard getting three people ready and out the door in the morning!
Here are just a few pictures I snapped during the week:
There is just something I love about a baby only sleeping in a diaper!
I had some good chances to catch some sister moments this week

Here is Anna Claire's 7 week picture.  I took a 6 week picture but never had a chance to post it!  We go back to the doctor at the beginning of April for our 2 month check up...I will have updated stats then.

Fairy Princess

Our recent love of Tinkerbell led us to put on our fairy costume for the first time this past week.

The Spring Break

My absence in blogging can easily be explained...Spring Break!  Emma didn't have school last week so I was at home with both girls by myself.  It wasn't horrible but I there were definitely times I needed a mommy time out and I probably could have used a drink every night with dinner!  I will say we got out of the house every day-I don't think I could have stayed in all day.  We went to Chick fil a and Back Yard Burger multiple times last week for lunch because they have indoor playgrounds.  We went to Pump It Up, Paint and Piece and shopped too.  All in all I think it was a successful week-Emma had fun, I lived, and now I am ready to go back to work-that happens tomorrow.
I didn't get many pictures during the week because it just wasn't possible with both girls.

The Friday before Spring Break Emma was out of school early and Jessica and the girls were in town so we had a playdate that afternoon.  We wanted to get a picture of all 5 of the girls together.  This is how it started...
this is how it ended...we were able to stop some of the crying by giving them toys but then they didn't really look at the camera!

The rest of these I took at the park over the weekend.  It is getting warmer and we are able to get out of the house.  Thankfully, we have some great parks by our house and we love going.

Well I am back to work tomorrow. I am excited about getting back into the swing of things.  I am one of those people that likes to stay busy.  Not that I didn't love my time at home but I love my job and I am excited to get back.

5 Weeks

This is our official 5 week picture.  Each week I am taking a picture of Anna Claire in a white onesie on a piece of fun fabric.  I am going to try and not reuse fabric.  At the end of the year I will have 52 pictures and I plan to make a book out of it.

Here are some others that I snapped and also some I took before we went to our lunch date with Mary K and Wells yesterday.

Throw me Something Mister

I made the girls some shirts for Mardi Gras this year.  I have to admit Emma wasn't overly happy about wearing hers-it didn't contain pink-these days all outfits need to contain pink!  However, I didn't let her win the battle that day-she was going to wear that shirt.

On Tuesday night we went to Owen Brennan's for dinner and to enjoy the party.  Of course, Anna Claire slept through the whole dinner.  Emma loved the band they had, the drums most of all!  We made our reservation pretty early so things were just getting started when we left.  Thankfully before we did leave they started throwing some beads.  It didn't take long for Emma to catch on to what she needed to do!

Outnumbered

Bradley is very outnumbered in our house.  Even are dogs are girls!  I don't think he would have it any other way-these girls have him wrapped around their fingers.

1 month

Anna Claire turned 1 month today. Wow, time really does fly!  I can already tell she is changing so much.  She is started to make those happy little baby noises and even giving us a few smiles.

Since I did her 1 month pictures on her bedding quilt I decided I would show some pictures of the nursery.  I still have just a few pictures to hang and then everything is done.  The four framed pictures that are on the twin bed are going above the crib.  They are framed nursery rhyme puzzles that my mom framed for us.

Anna Claire's First Bath

On Tuesday we were finally able to give Anna Claire her first really bath-no more sponge baths for this girl!  She did really good and didn't cry one bit-granted, she was only in there for a few minutes.  We got all cleaned up and ready for our infant pictures on Wednesday morning.  I will share more about those when I get them back.

Yes, this crazy girl was in on the bath time too!

Our Weekend

Well it is Thursday and I am just not getting around to writing about our weekend.  If anyone had told me that I would be staying at home and wouldn't have time to blog at least every other day I would have never believed them!  Actually, I probably have time it is just that I have other projects that get in the way.  And it is amazing what projects I end up doing that aren't even on my list...they just pop up when I am doing something else.  Like earlier in the week I was putting up some laundry and I just decided to clean out Bradley's closet.  I bagged up two bags of clothes to take to Goodwill and now his closet is neat and clean!

For a weekend where we supposedly had no plans, we stayed pretty busy.
Friday night Bradley kept both girls and let me go have a girls night!  It was so fun and I actually stayed out much later than I have in a long time-pretty sad, I know.
On Saturday I took Emma to go see the play Cinderella at her school.  She really enjoyed it-she is totally into Disney Princesses right now.  It was a short play, like 30 minutes, and it showed me that she is definitely NOT ready to go to the movies yet.  She had a hard time sitting though the 30 minute play.  She kept wanting to get up and dance around to the song.  I took this picture of her when we got home and she was playing outside.  I tried to take some at the play but she was just moving around too much.

On Sunday we got up and it was kinda dreary.  We decided we would make a trip to the Zoo before it started raining.  I had a conference call at 4 anyway so we only had a limited amount of time.  My parents got us a Family Membership to the Zoo for Christmas and I can tell it is going to be great!  It didn't matter if we only got to stay about an hour because we have a whole year to go back as much as we want.  As you can see, Anna Claire was not overly excited about the zoo...
