Just some FYI...

I just got back from brunch with some high school friends. It was fun to see everyone and watch the little kiddos run around. There were some little babies there also-made me miss the days of snuggling without someone saying "no" and "down".

I just wanted to let anyone with kids in on something I figured out on Christmas Eve. I was out picking up some last minute items and needed to get Emma some pajamas. I really like the Children's Place pajamas. 1. they have zippers-not snaps! and 2. the fleece ones are oh so awesome. Well I went up to the counter to pay for my 3 fleece pajama pairs and to my delight they were only $3.00 each. If I didn't already own every pattern except the super boyish ones, I would have gotten more. I am seriously considering going to get some and saving them for next year. Just thought I would let y'all know!

I might be back later to write more

Christmas Lunch

After breakfast at the Bond house we headed over to my parents for some more celebrations and Christmas lunch. We were lucky enough to have my grandmother and her husband drive over from Arkansas to join us. We traveled there for Thanksgiving so she drives here on Christmas.
After lots of playing on cousin Grace's kitchen, Emma got to Daddy Mac and MiMi's and there was a kitchen for her! Some how I manage to not get a picture of her playing with the kitchen there. She played with it most of the time we were over there-she cooked up a storm.
She got shopping carts and plastic food.
You can never have too many shopping carts, right? I think we will probably take one to work. At one point she tried to push both of them at the same time. She totally loved her kitchen but I think she loved the purse and wallet that CiCi gave her just as much. My sister gave Emma an old wallet and filled it with old gift cards and various coupons and receipts to make it fill like the real thing-because she LOVES to empty our wallets!
Emma actually laid down and took a short nap while we ate lunch. It was nice to be able to enjoy the adult conversation and not be rushed through the meal. Also while she was sleeping Bradley took the opportunity to pack up the car. It was so funny to see her when she woke up looking for the toys that she had left when she went down and they were no longer there!
This is a picture from after we got home. We probably got home around 4ish and Emma played in her playroom until 7:30. We barely heard a word from her unless it was to feed us something. I brought her picnic table inside and let her set at that and serve her food. She served herself and her babies all night long.
After she went to bed I finished unpacking and putting away everything and decided i would open her pack of play food. It was great because when she got up this morning it was something totally new to play with. I think tomorrow morning we will pull out the Cozy Coupe car!
FYI...my little girl thinks that ice cream belongs in her purse. We got ready to go to a friend's house today and she wanted to bring her purse. When we looked inside her purse contained her wallet, cell phone and 4 ice cream cones!!!

Christmas Breakfast

I think as the day went on I end up taking less pictures. I will have to get some pictures from the grandparents as I know they were snapping away!
We go to Bradley's mom's house for Christmas breakfast. Bradley's sister and her family stayed at their house overnight so they were there waiting for us. Emma and Grace get along so well and just love to play together.
This year Honey bought all of the girls matching pajamas to wear on Christmas morning. I think they looked cute! Here are all three enjoying breakfast.

Grace received a kitchen from Santa this year. Emma was just a bit obsessed with that kitchen. Little did she know she would be receiving a similar kitchen in just a bit! We had so much fun sitting around the living room watching the girls take everything in. They ran nonstop for over an hour. They were our present delivers, wrapping rippers and personal chefs! I can only imagine next year will be crazier with Reagan up running around also!

Christmas morning at home

After we opened our Santa presents we spent some time just the three of us and opened presents from each other. Even if it is early in the morning this is a special time that we cherish with just the three of us.

Like I said earlier, Emma didn't get many toys from her parents. Instead we opted to get her some clothing items that she needed. Probably her favorite present from us would have to be her new tennis shoes. I think she is like her mom and has a deep love for shoes! As soon as she opened those shoes she had to have us put them on her and we had to pry them off of her feet at 7:30 tonight! She might have stayed in her Christmas pajamas all day but she sported her tennis shoes with pajamas proudly!

After opening her shoes she didn't really care about much more. I opened some of her other boxes and showed her some new outfits but she was busy playing with toys. She did slow down long enough to look through the calendar we made for dada. Every year I make him a calendar to take to the office and Emma was happy to be the main star of the calendar this year.
Dada gave her a little headband from some wrapping from another present.

Santa

I think the above pictures explains what is going on at our house tonight. We had such a wonderful Christmas surrounded by our wonderful families. As I sit here tonight I feel so blessed and lucky to have such wonderful people surrounding us and loving on us!

I have multiple posts I want to do about Christmas. I thought I would try to start at the beginning and work through the day. Even though we had a long day, I wouldn't have it any other way. And I think I should consider myself lucky-my child slept till 7:30-for some reason I think that might not be the case in years to come!
We have been talking to Emma about Santa some this year-she knows what Santa says-"Ho Ho Ho" and we have a Santa pillow and she points him out. We didn't go into all the stuff about him bringing her toys because I didn't really think she would get it. Well when we woke up this morning and said "Let's go see what Santa brought" she said "toys?"
Santa filled up Emma's stocking, gave her a few unwrapped toys and two things to unwrap. We gave her a few articles of clothing and some new shoes but besides that, we tried not to go overboard. I felt she would get plenty of toys as the day went on and I will say by the end of the day our car was pretty packed going home. We have even set some toys aside to open tomorrow.

Emma putting out her cookies to Santa-chocolate chip-just like requested in his letter last year! She had to taste the cookies to make sure they were alright for Santa.
Our plate we made last year.
Stocking waiting to be filled
The first look at the Santa loot-Bounce and Spin Pony, play vacuum, laptop, portable DVD player (that was probably meant for more for mommy's sanity!) and Happy Feet DVD.
She was kinda unsure about the vacuum at first. In fact, she still doesn't really want us to turn in on. The laptop was a success!
Unwrapping went much easier this year-she got the hang of it better.
Digging in her stocking-this was probably one of her favorite things-pulling stuff out of her stockings. There were fun things like new sippy cups, new pacifiers, a book and some gummy worms!
She finally warmed up to the vacuum and really wanted to do this most of the time we opened presents from each other.

Ce Ce's Birthday

Last Sunday we celebrated Courtney's birthday. Courtney was nice enough to let Emma help her open her gifts to help Emma practice for Christmas. Emma didn't really get into unwrapping too much but she sure did like one of Courtney's presents. Too bad she is not getting one anytime soon-at least till her mom gets one!

She actually cried when we had to pry this purse out of her little hands! Can't say that I blame her.

My Chassie

I just had to post these pictures of Emma and her "Chassie" which is what she is calling Cassidy these days. I thought it was so funny to catch her like this. Just about a week ago I saw similar pictures over on the Ray's blog. Good thing these Golden Retrievers have great attitudes!

Emma loves her Lilah also...we just can't be sitting on her!
