For a few weeks now I have been participating in home tours over at
Kelly's Korner. I have had so much fun doing so and hope you are enjoying your sneak peak into our home. Kelly put a schedule up of things we will be showing off or sharing all the way through September. What a great way to get blog post ideas for Fridays-the day when we are most burned out! After you check out our house, go on over to
Kelly's blog and check out some others! P.S. I know it is still Thursday but I might be busy tomorrow because tomorrow starts
my sister's big bachelorette weekend!
This week we are touring bonus rooms/playrooms. This might be one of my favorite rooms in the house because recently I have spent the most time in here. When Emma really started moving around I decided to change our back family room into a play room. This room was an addition onto the back of our house and is back behind the kitchen. I love having her playroom back her for 2 reasons: 1)when I am cooking dinner, Emma can play back here and I can see her and 2)since the room is in the back of the house, if someone comes by unexpectedly, we can stay in the front room and no one will see our mess! So let's start the tour.
This is the view from the kitchen. See that fireplace-yeah, it doesn't work-don't ask us why it is there-it was there when we moved in.
I bought this foam tile flooring at Babies R Us and I love it! It is so great for Emma to play on. We used to have a rug back here but it was constantly getting dirty and the foam is so much easier to clean. See the Cozy Coupe blow up ball pit? That was a Christmas present for Emma from Target. She loves it.

We got a new chair last week. Actually, it was my sister's chair that we had before but she now gave it back to us, hopefully for good. The blue chair took the place of the old red one that had seen better days!
I made this corner into a little reading/puzzle area. Some of Emma's books are on the lowest shelf and pillows are stacked up in her Floor Nanny. Does anyone else have a Floor Nanny. I think this is one of the best inventions ever! I highly recommend it. We probably got our money's worth after about 6 months but she is still playing in it. They say on the website that it gives kids confidence in learning how to sit up and I totally agree. It also gives parents confidence to let your little one try to sit up. If they fall, they fall onto that soft side.
Some of our favorite pictures are in our playroom. Below is Bradley's picture of Neyland Stadium that Courtney bought him for Christmas.

My signed Larry Wamble Ole Miss picture. We must represent both schools equally!
The collage of pictures from one of Emma's photo shoots with Mike Logan. This was right around the time she was really starting to smile when we coaxed her and we got some wonderful pictures out of that time!
I hope you enjoyed your tour. Next week is master bedrooms and ours is nothing to brag about but I will try to post anyway. I say try because I am leaving next Tuesday night and will be out of town until the following Tuesday. I will be posting, just remotely, from Dallas. Who knows, I might have other things to talk about besides Emma!
