Show Us Where You Live Friday-Bathrooms!

So I really contemplating not participating this week, but I have just had so much fun since I joined in on the tours. I have a love/hate relationship with my bathroom. Notice that I said one bathroom! We live in a old house, while it is not that small, it only has one bathroom. When we bought the house we thought about adding another bathroom-but let's face it-bathroom remodel/builds are expensive. I would just rather sell the house and move! Plus, we don't want to pour too much money into this house and price ourselves out of the neighborhood.

I am going to show you some aspects of our bathroom. Mainly the parts that I love. Maybe you can guess the parts that I hate by the things that are left out of the pictures!

One of my favorite parts of the bathroom is the tile floor. I love the black and white tile and would never tear it up.

Currently I have a white waffle weave shower curtain hanging in here. I am kinda thinking about switching it up and going with something like this. What do you think or do you think I should bring in more of a pattern like this?

I am kinda thinking the first one with the brown, since these are my towels. I love my towels. They are Hotel Collection from Macy's. Don't ask why I picked the white and brown in the first place, because I don't know, but I know I didn't want black towels.

If we take a look inside the shower you will find a few more favorites that we use all of the time. The first being this Boon Bath Toy Organizer. This thing is great for containing all of the baby bath toys. Since there are holes, no water is trapped and thus no mildew. Also the bug's little red body comes off and you can just scoop the toys up. Don't worry, they also make a frog for the boys!

The next thing is one of my favorites. The Lush Ocean Salt is my favorite face cleaner. When you open up the jar, it just makes you think of sitting on the beach. Oh, and on top of the face cleaner is the Happy Hippy Body Wash-we love it too!

My last picture is probably the thing that I have the biggest love/hate relationship with...the green stripe tile. Now I love that there is only this one stripe, I love that the toilet is not this color (I have seen it done in old houses), and I love that it adds a little punch of color in the bathroom. But really, minty toothpaste green! Not the punch of color I would have picked. So I will continue to deal with my punch of mint green and go along hoping for more bathrooms some day soon!

Thanks for taking the tour again this week. I am off to garage sale it Saturday morning!

It's funny b/c after I saw your floors, I had the second shower curtain in mind before I even clicked the link! BUT, I like the brown I think best as it keeps the pattern simple and not too busy, especially for the space. AND looks good w/ your towels and we all know that is important... :) (being serious if you display them though) Thanks for sharing!!

Spoken by someone with an old home with one full bath as well, I think your bathroom is great! And how lucky are you guys to have the original tile in such great shape? Have you thought about embracing the green tile? I haven't seen it in person, but could you do a shower curtain that has both brown and green in it? Seems like that may bring in the green and tie it all together. Anyway, just my two cents. We missed you guys at the lake this weekend!

I like the second shower curtain the best. I love paisley (or whatever they call that pattern). I think it will look really classy with the black and white tile.
