Emma's Easter basket. Unfortunately she did not get to open her basket until after church and lunch. We were in too much of a hurry to get everyone ready and out the door on time to play with our new things. Church was really great yesterday. They tried out a different format during the service that included more singing. I really enjoyed it. Emma got moved out of the babies room in the nursery into the toddler room. When we picked her up they said she had a great time playing with the older kids. She was the youngest in the room.
After church, we took a quick stroll across the parking lot for lunch at Fleming's. Oh, it was so good, but I am beginning to think we might have to start having lunch at one of our houses because Emma is not wanting to sit still for a long time while we eat. It seems that meals on holidays always take longer. Here is Emma and CC waiting to be seated for lunch.
Searching through MiMi's purse, a favorite activity!
My mom, Courtney and I shared some creme brulee for dessert. It came with a bowl of homemade whipped cream that was to die for. Emma really enjoyed the whipped cream!
Someone even dipped her pacifier in the whipped cream!
After lunch we went back to MiMi's house for some egg hunting and to look at our Easter baskets. Emma finally got to open the basket from the Easter Bunny and her favorite thing was the fruit snacks.
She got a new baby from MiMi and Daddy Mac. The baby has a motion sensor and makes cooing noises when set off. She loves her new baby, however the dogs where not as fond of the new toy that makes noises when they walk by it!
We went outside to try and hunt some eggs before it started raining. Emma didn't really get the idea of hunting the eggs. Every now and then she would pick up an egg and shake it to see if it made noise. If it did she would keep it in her hand.
Bradley helped her find a flower pot that was full of Easter eggs!
Eventually, she kinda got the hang of picking up some of the eggs and instead of putting them in her basket, she would deposit them in the flower pot. So much for practicing with a basket all week!
Checking out all the loot in the eggs. So, Emma didn't really catch on to the idea of liking the Easter Bunny and searching for eggs, but maybe next year she will do better! She had a great time playing with the empty eggs.
After all of these fun activities, Emma took a long nap in the afternoon and let mom and dad watch the Masters.
