Work it Out

Emma is working on getting ready for CC's wedding-less than two weeks to go! Here she is doing some squats in her pool!

She really loved the hose, even after it was turned off.

Emma's first trip to Jerry's

We took Emma on her first trip to Jerry's Sno Cones tonight. We went and ate sushi with my parents after work and what goes better after sushi than sno cones, right? Jerry's is one of the few places in Memphis that you can still get a sno cone and they are great! Bradley got a Hawaiian/Tutti Fruitti mix and I got Ice Cream flavor-Emma had fun tasting both as you can see. We got out of the car and went straight to the bathtub!

I wanted to include this picture from this weekend. I got this off of Stan's camera today. We very rarely get a picture of our whole family or with me in there (it seems like I am usually the one taking the picture). People have told me that I need to be careful and make sure I am in some pictures. So here you go!

Ok, off to do some blog hopping...this is my first chance to have some me time for the day!

My Favorite Photo

Today is my 250th post. I was trying to think about something awesome to write about but nothing was coming to me. Then I saw something about this Blog Hop that was going on. Basic idea is today you post your favorite picture and add your link to the list. Then hop around to other people's blogs and check out their favorite pics.

Of course, I couldn't pick just one picture! However, I did narrow it down to two.
This first picture is when Emma was just a few days old. She looks so peaceful sleeping. I think I have the picture framed in at least two places in our house.

This second picture is a better representation of Emma these days. This was taken the day before she turned one at Granddaddy and Honey's house. Whenever I am having a bad day I could just look at that smile and it will change my day.

4th of July

Have we really not been to the lake since Memorial Day? In past years, we wouldn't have missed a weekend! It was so good to be back for a long relaxing weekend. Zed, Lindsay and Peyton went with us, and we had a great time hanging out.

Friday we got up and went out on the water early. We pulled the boat up on a rocky beach and let Emma play in the water. Unfortunately, Grace went down for a nap before we went out so we missed her playing with us. Emma really enjoyed digging in the rocks and splashing around.

Later that night we got dressed and took the boat out to eat dinner. When looking for Emma some outfits to wear for the weekend, I realized I didn't have many red, white and blue options. I picked her little sailor dress for Friday. Saturday she wore her Ole Miss outfit, but it didn't matter much, because she didn't even make it past dinner time on the actual 4th!

A few weeks ago Honey and Granddaddy picked up this little hula outfit for the girls to play in when at the lake. Tay Tay put it on Emma on Saturday and it was just too cute not to take a picture.

Saturday we ventured out for some more time on the lake. I talked about our positive experience with that cheap yellow ring before and it didn't let us down this weekend! I think Emma could have stayed in that water for hours in that ring-but we had to get her out of the sun at some points during the day.

One of Emma's favorite parts of being on the boat is sitting with Granddaddy and helping drive. Oh, and we can't forget honking the horn!

After all of this fun on the water, we had two tired babies. Cousin Grace got to ride back on the Sea Doo and her parents said she had so much fun waving to everyone.

Like I said earlier, after this fun filled weekend, Emma went to bed before dinner and didn't get to experience any fireworks. It didn't matter that much because fireworks were chased away because of a late in the day rain.
Sorry for my lack of blogging lately. I promise I will get back to normal. I got a little behind after being out of town but now I feel pretty caught up.

While I was out

Bradley is really great at taking pictures while I am out of town. I am just now catching up from being gone and having a short week. I wanted to share a few of my favorite pictures that he sent to me.

We spent the weekend at the lake...pictures to come soon.

Playing on the lake

I would say emma is not being a very good driver considering she is
not watching where she is going. She is really more concerned with
blowing the horn.

Whistle While you Work

I know that I am super behind on my blogging. I got back home on Tuesday but I haven't caught up yet. I promise to have some pictures up soon but enjoy this video in the mean time.
