We have a climber

A furniture climber that is! When we got home Emma climbed up in this chair and was so proud of herself. She probably sat there for about five minutes just smiling and talking to things on the desk. She sorted through my coupons and finally decided she had sat still long enough-oh well, it was good while it lasted!
She did this again while Bradley was cooking dinner except she didn't stop at the chair. I wasn't in the room but Bradley said he saw her climb up in the chair and she was sitting there and the next thing he knew she was on the table. I guess nothing is safe now!

We usually get home before Bradley so Emma likes to wait for him to come home. She often recruits one of her furry friends to wait with her!

12 Hours

We went up to the lake this past weekend. Bradley had intentions of helping Stan put together the swing set he got for the girls. They got up pretty early and started on the project. Bradley came inside after a little while and said the instructions said they needed three people for the project and then it would take 12 hours! What...12 hours for a swing set! Lucky for us there were 4 guys working on the swing set in the backyard. Obviously the makers of this swing set know nothing about working on lake time and that after lunch it was time to get out on the water. This is where the project stopped for the weekend. It may not look like too much but that is part of the frame, a ladder on the back of the golf cart and the slide all put together. In all reality, there probably would have been more work done on Sunday, but we had to get up and leave early to get home.
Good thing the little miss didn't know a swing set was being put together, she probably would have wanted to be out there playing on it! Instead she took a long nap in the morning and after lunch was ready to go. All we have to do it pull out that yellow float and she is ready to go to the boat. She is even starting to say a word that resembles boat!
Driving the boat with Granddaddy.
This is one of her favorite places on the boat. She loves standing at either door and staring out into the water. Bradley and I usually end up sitting at opposite doors because she just runs back and forth between the two.
See her life vest? We got it from Overton's and highly recommend it. Emma totally threw fits in her other vest that zipped up but this one doesn't bother her at all. I think it might be because she doesn't get as hot in this one?
I thought this picture was funny. We parked up on a rocky shore line so Emma can walk on the shore and play with rocks. We took her out in the water and she kept getting mad because the waves kept bringing her into the shore. I think her little booty was dragging on the ground.
Last picture from the day. I snapped this as we were coming up from the boat. Walking with daddy and Taylor.
I guess the moral of our Saturday story is you shouldn't expect to put together a swing set in a short morning. And if you are putting together your swing set at the lake, expect the project to take multiple weekends!

Absent-my train of thought

I have been trying to blog for about an hour. I just don't have anything to really say or actually every time I start typing on a subject, it doesn't go anywhere. So you get random thoughts and random pictures tonight.

Emma's new thing is to play chase. She loves for us to chase her around the house. Sorry the video is kinda shaky-I was the chaser.
I love catching pictures of Emma when she is not paying attention to me. It doesn't happen often since she is constantly on the move.
This week we worked on using utensils more. I'll be honest, most of the time Emma doesn't use a spoon and fork. She can feed herself really well with her fingers and seems to get more messy if she uses utensils. I know I need to start letting her practice more...so I did just that this week. At first she was doing really well...
When I can back to check on her this is what I found! Guess she got tired of using the spoon.
Besides chasing around Emma, embroidering all sorts of things, and organizing fantasy football I have been playing with my Photoshop some more.
Before picture-
After product-
LOVED BIG BROTHER TONIGHT!!!
Sorry for the randomness. Hopefully next time I can get my thoughts together.

Sweet Girl

What a great present from little miss (with some help from Taylor)! Just had to show off the art work!

Before and After

I got Photoshop Elements for my birthday and played around with it last night after dinner-Bradley took me to Bonefish Grill-in case anyone was wondering!

I haven't even started getting in depth with the program but here is what I have done so far:
Before
After some cropping, brightening and making some colors more vibrant
After with some blurry background
I thought that was pretty good for a photoshop novice!
