Spring Break

Although neither Bradley nor myself get a Spring Break now, Emma somehow managed a little Spring Break trip up to the lake this weekend. She traveled with Honey and Granddaddy for a fun filled weekend. They stopped at Bradley's grandparents on the way there so Emma got to spend some time with her great grandparents!
As always she enjoyed her golf cart rides.

I was super surprise with the below picture-Stan actually got her to pose!
Of course, our current favorite activity-swinging.

She is a hoarder

Lately I have learned that Emma is a little hoarder. She is well on her way to being one of those people that could live out of her car. She has her Cozy Coupe at work and she loves to load it up with all her other toys and push it around. My favorite is trying to see her climb in the car with all that stuff in there-impossible!

I snapped these pictures the other day. I want to do a change of address card and I was thinking maybe a picture card so I am always looking for a good shot. I thought a picture of her car all loaded up with be cute but I just never got a good one.
No pictures of the packing progress yet. I finished up the last of my sewing tonight and started packing all that stuff away. I also finished wrapping my china-now that is a hassle. We are trying to save money by packing all of stuff ourselves and it is pretty nerve wracking to try and get everything wrapped properly. I am probably using double the amount of paper I need to because I am so scared of things breaking.
Question for those of you that have moved-do I have to take everything out of our drawers?

I'm back...

It has been a week and a half since I last posted and I am ready to hop back on the blogging train! I was taking a little blogging break because we had a lot going on in our lives and then I had to send my computer off to have it serviced. I got my computer back yesterday and while our lives had not slowed down I think I can finally share a little about what is going on.

So our big news is that we are moving!!! The beginning of February we put our house on the market and about 3 weeks later we got a contract. Then we started searching for a place for us to move. We looked for a few weeks, found a house to put an offer on and that one fell through, we have found another house and currently have a contract to buy that one! We are suppose to close on both houses in a week and a half so my house is a wreck and there are boxes everywhere!
I honestly have to say that this whole experience has been super positive. It has had some ups and downs but I can't say enough good things about our real estate agents. If anyone in the Memphis area is looking for great agents please contact Billy and Jeanna Groome at Groome & Co. I also think this experience has really taught my something about patience. I am a planner and I have really tried to pray for patience during this time. There were times when I didn't think I could wait any longer to hear about a counter offer but I found by just going somewhere quiet and praying for a little patience it helped so much. Now I wouldn't advise moving to try and work on handing your weakness over to God but I really tried to work on mine during this time.
This past weekend we spent a lot of time packing. Maybe...maybe I will take a few pictures of the current state of my house so I can remember it. It was a beautiful day on Sunday and we decided to take a break for packing and spend some family time and go to the zoo. Memphis has an award winning zoo and Emma is really starting to love it! Her favorite animals-monkeys!!!. I promise to be better about blogging. The next few weeks might be more about our move than anything else. In fact, right now I am trying to decide if I will move Emma into a big girl bed when we move. She has never tried to crawl out of her crib so I hesitate to change her situation without needing to but I am also thinking since I am taking down her crib should I just go ahead and convert it to the bed? She will be 2 in May-anyone have any suggestions?

We will be back

If you haven't noticed I have been taking a little break from blogging. It is not all my choice-we had the flu. Now that we are over that I had to take my computer to be fixed and they had to ship it off. Hopefully I will get it back soon. I promise to be back soon with lots of pictures and exciting things to tell everyone!

When Pigs Fly

We are still, however I do have a bit of an excuse for my absence. It seems as though all of our house has come down with the swine flu! Yes, today is mine and Bradley's anniversary and we have spent it sleeping in the living room. Instead of a nice dinner it was soup and theraflu for us.
Emma went to the doctor yesterday and they said she had the flu also but her fever has broken and she hasn't had anymore fever today so I am going to consider her lucky. We are so lucky that Bradley's parents have let her stay with them the past two nights as it kept her away from our germs. I still have a fever but I am hoping to feel better tomorrow so she can come home.
I promise I will be back soon with more pictures but this was about all I could muster up. I wanted to post a picture too-since I know there are some people that are really interested in seeing pictures of Emma. We took this picture last weekend when Taylor stayed with us-Emma kept asking for "more bows"

Snow Day...what?

We got an unexpected surprise when we woke up this morning. First, I need to thank my sister-she text me to go look outside. Without that text, I would have gotten up, got in the shower and been ready to go to work before realizing there was 5 inches of snow on the ground!

It is 11 am and we have already been out to play and made snow cream! Emma would have stayed out in that snow all day if we let her. Now it is naptime-love it!

This is Captain, flying the Ark!

Emma got a Little People Noah's Ark set for Christmas. She has really enjoyed playing with it and naming the animals. It never ceases to amaze me what her imagination comes up with!
I was listening to her as she was playing with the Ark today. She was pulling out animals and naming them, sometimes making the noises. Well then she pulled out Noah and referred to him as "Ho Ho"! I can only assume it is because this Noah has a white beard? Great!
Next, she picks up the Ark and starts flying it around the office and calling it a plane. Guess that slow moving boat wasn't moving fast enough! We work really close to the airport and she loves to see planes. I guess we are going to have to go over that Noah's Ark story again!
