"I Markered Her"

Well it only takes a moment for this 2 year old to get into all sorts of things. You would think with three of us at the office she would usually always be with someone. Somehow she can always find the room where no one is! As you can see her dolly became the victim of a horrible marker crime today.

Something like this is a pretty normal occurrence in our lives these days. I am really having to watch this girl! I guess I should look on the bright side-at least she didn't mark on her clothes this time!

Blog Slacking

My husband just called me a blog slacker so I guess I will get to posting a few pictures. I feel like I have been so busy lately and I haven't been good about posting. I think it might just be the terrible twos hitting us that after Emma goes to bed I want to sit in silence! We have really gotten into some fit throwing the past month and half the time I don't even know what it is about!
The cousins went home last week but stopped by the office one last day to play before heading to Jackson. Boy, I loved those days when they came-Emma had so much fun and would take great naps after they left! These two really enjoyed watching cartoons together on the couch.

This was the best picture we got of all three of them. We had to enlist the help of Taylor to make it work.
One day we came home from work and Bradley was putting this pink beauty together in the carport. Emma has really enjoyed climbing in and out of that Jeep. The battery isn't even in it right now and she doesn't even care. Of course, when the battery goes in the jeep will have to go outside.

We spent the weekend at the River celebrating Father's Day. I think all the guys cleaned out the river of all of the fish. Not really but they did catch their limit on Saturday night. I didn't take a single picture all weekend but enjoying the peaceful weekend.

I took this picture last night. Every time I see Emma jumping on Cassidy or riding her like a horse I am so thankful for how easy going Cassidy is...just another example...getting all dolled up with hair bows last night.

Swimming Videos

This post is mostly for me so I can remember how old Emma was when she was swimming with her floaties (24 months). I remembered I hadn't captured any of her swimming on video yet-probably because I am usually in the pool too! She was swimming with Bradley last night so I took the chance to take some pictures.

The Cousins are in town!!

What could make a little girl so tired?

I think I heard on the radio that the heat index yesterday was close to 105! Yikes. The only thing to do when it is that hot is play in the water. Grace and Reagan came to the office and we did some splashing in the baby pool. Later last night they came over to eat dinner and play in the big pool. By last night my camera had died so the only pictures I got were at the office.

Making Bubbles

I ran to Target after dinner last night. When I walked back in the door this is what I found...

she told me she was helping daddy make bubbles! Thankfully, while those bubbles were made the dishes were also cleaned too.

More Water Fun

Granddaddy got a pool for the office and this morning he filled it up for Emma. It is getting pretty hot here so playing in the water is one of the few things you can do outside. Taylor stayed outside with Emma while she splashed around for a while. I think Emma is really enjoying having her Tay Tay at the office now!

Memorial Day Weekend

Since we have been out of town so much the past two months we decided to stay at home for the long Memorial Day Weekend. We had a nice relaxing weekend and got in lots of pool time.

We had some friends over on Saturday and this is the only picture I managed to take. I was keeping my camera inside to keep it safe from the splashing kiddos!

On Sunday when Emma went down for her nap I decided I was going to tackle this piece of furniture. We have had it for a long time and one time I started painting it but quit b/c it got moved to storage. At the new house we decided it would have a new home on the screened in porch and would be a perfect place to store towels, pool toys, etc. Here is the before picture...

There were some breaks taken for splashing when munchkin woke up! Here she is showing off her "big jump". Basically that means jumping off the side.

At the end of the day, after lots of swimming, playing and painting I had a finished piece of furniture-well I still have to find drawer pulls. I added some green accent to the piece b/c my patio chairs have a green fabric on them.

Now we are just waiting for the ipod docking station to arrive and the piece will serve its full purpose!
