Our baby loves the water!

We spent this weekend at Kentucky Lake. Another great weekend on the lake and Emma really enjoyed playing in the water. Since it is so hot the water is getting really warm and she loved floating around in the water. Thank you Jacob Ray for loaning us your life jacket. The only time Emma actually cried was when we took her out of the water!

When we got home tonight we were giving Emma a bath. She loves her baths. She kicks around so much we joke that she is training to be a swimmer. When you see this video you will understand why we don't put her baby bath on the counter but put it down in the big bathtub. You have to watch her face-she gets such a serious look when she kicks!

Emma's 2 month pics and doctor's visit

Here are some pictures of Emma when she turned 2 months. The smiles and laughs are really coming out now.

These are two pictures I took of her at her two month check-up. There is a mirror all the way across the wall next to the bench she was laying on. She had so much fun looking at herself in the mirror. Here are some stats from her visit:
11 lbs 8 oz (75%)
22 1/4 inches long (50%)
the doctor said she was advanced for her age in her ability to hold her head up
he also said her sleeping pattern sounded wonderful for her age. Usually if she goes to bed around 10pm she can make it through the night!

Catching Up...Emma does Dallas

Ok so I have a few post to catch up on, but I went back to work this week so I am a bit busier than I have been the past weeks. I have posts about us going to Dallas, Emma's 7 week pictures and 4th of July.

Two weeks ago Emma, myself, my mom, and Courtney set off to Dallas to visit my dad one last time before he comes home. We made the long trip with a new baby and she did great. In fact she barely woke up the whole time we were going to Dallas. The ride home was alittle different!

We did lots of shopping in Dallas and Emma was very tolerate, in fact she almost slept through
the whole thing.

Emma asleep at the only stop we made along the way to Dallas-Applebees somewhere in Texas. You think she would have wanted to stay awake while she was out of her carseat!

Emma's Photo Shoot

The other day Emma and I had a photo shoot. I am really enjoying staying at home with her and I was trying to think of something to do where we would not have to leave the house. It is so hot outside and we had no reason to get out. Emma was really good and tolerate of this fashion show for her mom. She put up with changing clothes for about 3 hours before she got fussy. When she was done we had taken over 100 pictures. Here are a few!
