Pool Time

Weekends just aren't complete without some fun in the sun and we are staring Anna Claire off early!  So far she is really enjoying the water but we are being super careful not to keep her outside too long.  MeMe got her the little sun shirt so that definitely helps but then I sometimes feel bad keeping her outside in long sleeves!  Oh well, the pool makes her super tired and it doesn't take much playing for her to be ready for a nap.

New Orleans

Memorial Day Weekend we took a trip to New Orleans.  We really hadn't taken the girls on any vacations.  During the summer we are always running back and forth from the river or the lake so it is not like we are shorting them on trips!  We are going to the beach at the end of the summer so this trip was a good test for the car.  They were pretty good for the 6 hour trip-not perfect but not horrible! 
We had a great trip.  We visited the aquarium, did some shopping, site seeing and I got to see some of my friends.  Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that I got to go out with the girls on Saturday night for my friend Melinda's bachelorette party?  My parents and Courtney and Gaines made the trip with us.  After looking through my pictures I guess I only took my camera to the aquarium-but then again, who really wants to see pictures of us shopping?

 I think it took all of the adults to keep up with Emma.  She was running all over that place. 

4 months

Anna Claire hit the 4 month mark on June 4th.  We went to the doctor on Monday for our checkup and to get our shots.  Anna Claire weighed in 13lbs, 7oz and she was 23 inches which were both right at the 50th percentile.  I remember her head measurement was in the 75th percentile and I think it was 41 inches but I am not completely positive about that!  As you tell by our recent pictures, we are spending alot of time on our stomach since learning to roll over.  The doctor gave us the go ahead to try rice cereal when we were ready.  I am pretty sure the day the doctor told us that with Emma we ran out and tried rice cereal that night.  Oh, how things change.  I have the cereal in the cabinet and I haven't even pulled it out yet!
Anna Claire got super fussy with her shots this time.  She was up ALL NIGHT Monday night-like up every hour.  That is such a change from the good sleeper we have been having.  Luckily, it seems as though we have broken through the effects of the shots and we are back to our 12 hour a night sleeping.  I was getting used to that and I didn't want to go back to getting up!  I guess I am selfish with my sleep!!

Safety First

So Emma got a scooter for her birthday.  She also got a bike with a helmet and bell.  When Zed and Lindsay found out what she was getting they got her the perfect present to compliment her new wheels.  She loves her new matching knee pads, elbow pads and gloves!  I mean you can't beat a full Disney Princess garb!

Her First Movie

On Emma's actual birthday Bradley decided to take Emma to her first movie.  Can you tell by the first picture that she was super excited?  I can't even remember what movie they went to see but Bradley said they were the only two people in the theater.  They made it about an hour through and then came home.  When I asked her what she thought she said it was too dark!!!  Guess we will wait a while longer before going back to the movies.  

Rolling Over

Anna Claire started rolling over at about 16 weeks.  I am about a week late posting this and by now she is rolling from back to stomach and she can do stomach to back as well.  Earlier tonight we were letting her roll around on the carpet.  We looked up and she was no where to be found-she had made her way all the way to the side of the couch.  She is really loving her new perspective and especially loves it when Emma gets down on the floor and talks to her!
