Emma Update

We went to the doctor yesterday and had an ultrasound. Emma is currently weighing in at 8lbs 9oz. I am scheduled to be induced on Thursday, May 15th unless Emma decides to come earlier on her own. My blood pressure was alittle high, so I have to get lots of rest and go back to the doctor on Friday. So for the next few days I am basically living on the couch!

The Kitchen is Finished!!!

The kitchen is finally finished. Bradley had lots of help and everything turned out wonderfully. I think the pictures really speak for themselves. The before shots are on the left and after shots on the right.

Emma Update at 36 weeks

Here are some pictures from our ultrasound yesterday. Emma's estimated current weight is 7 lbs 10 oz. They said she was in the 90 percentile for growth! I go back to the doctor every week now.

Oxford Baby Shower!

Don't blink, don't even look away,

Baby Emma is on her way,

With a great dad and caring mother,

And lots of friends who really love her,

There'll never be a day she'll ever miss,

Without plenty of hugs and a big ole kiss,

We'll celebrate at her future school,

In red and blue, she'll sure look cool,

"Hotty Toddy" we'll hear Emma say,

Loud and clear on each Rebel game day,

There's one thing , Emma, we wish for you,

That you find happiness both tried and true,

And people to stick by you until the end,

Like we did at college in our group of friends.

Last Sunday I went to Oxford for a baby shower with my friends that I met at Ole Miss. I am so lucky to have such a great group of friends. We all talk everyday via our "listserv" so we always know what is going on with each other. Sure, our husbands and boyfriends think we are just a bit crazy when we all get together but we would not have it any other way!

The top picture is everyone that could make it to the shower. We are all pretty spread out so not everyone could travel to Oxford. Erin "Nelly" Kelly wrote the poem below the picture. It was on the invitation and it was too cute not to share. Jen made the baby cake for the shower. I was so impressed! I had no idea Jen was such a talented cake maker. Below is the car seat-travel system everyone got for Emma. Emma got lots of other great items, I was just not the best at taking pictures this weekend.

Below are some past pictures from our girl weekend get togethers. I wanted to put some pictures up that included everyone. We definitely missed everyone that wasn't there!

The Nursery is Done!

Yeah! The nursery is done. Actually, I need some curtains but those are at my mom's house so I will get them soon.

*Emma update* I had a doctor's appointment/ultrasound on 4/1/08. Emma currently weighs in at 5lbs 15oz! Looks like she is going to be a big baby. I go back to the doctor in two weeks so I will have more updates then.

4D Ultrasound

We had a 4D ultrasound on Monday. Bradley and I were excited to have my mom and his mom go with us. Here are a few of the pictures of Emma at 31 weeks!

Please Vote for Cassidy!!

Cassidy has been entered in the Bissell Pet Photo Contest.

If you would like to vote for Cassidy, you can do so by clicking onthis link:http://www.bissell.com/redirect.asp?page_id=47128&Pet=3543

The winner of each voting period will win a new Pet Hair Eraser Vacuum (which would come in handy with the new baby coming!) and the top five vote getters of each period will be entered in the final contest to have their picture on the Pet Hair Eraser package! Cassidy's voting period is from March 11-18 and you can only vote once per voting period.

If Cassidy were to be picked to be on the package, Bissell will donate $10,000 to the Pet Cause of our choice...which would be the Memphis Area Golden Retriever Rescue.
