Don't blink, don't even look away,
Baby Emma is on her way,
With a great dad and caring mother,
And lots of friends who really love her,
There'll never be a day she'll ever miss,
Without plenty of hugs and a big ole kiss,
We'll celebrate at her future school,
In red and blue, she'll sure look cool,
"Hotty Toddy" we'll hear Emma say,
Loud and clear on each Rebel game day,
There's one thing , Emma, we wish for you,
That you find happiness both tried and true,
And people to stick by you until the end,
Like we did at college in our group of friends.
Last Sunday I went to Oxford for a baby shower with my friends that I met at Ole Miss. I am so lucky to have such a great group of friends. We all talk everyday via our "listserv" so we always know what is going on with each other. Sure, our husbands and boyfriends think we are just a bit crazy when we all get together but we would not have it any other way!
The top picture is everyone that could make it to the shower. We are all pretty spread out so not everyone could travel to Oxford. Erin "Nelly" Kelly wrote the poem below the picture. It was on the invitation and it was too cute not to share. Jen made the baby cake for the shower. I was so impressed! I had no idea Jen was such a talented cake maker. Below is the car seat-travel system everyone got for Emma. Emma got lots of other great items, I was just not the best at taking pictures this weekend.
